I suppose i'd call myself a "semi professional" musician by trade. I've been playing live music on stage in some shape or form since around the age of 9. Always striving and aiming to one day earn a living from playing music.
I'm almost 30 years old now (though I still get asked for ID wherever I go), I wanted to start writing down gigs that I play and my experiences before my brain starts turning into a tinnitus mush of uselessness.
I play in a multitude of bands. My main instrument is the drums, but in recent years I've found myself playing double bass in various acts.
The main core of bands I play in:
Hello Bear - an originals pop rock band who long to "make it" (drums).
The Lovin' Handful - A rowdy 8 piece skiffle / bluegrass covers band (double bass).
Ugly Dog Skiffle Combo - A local legendary skiffle band playing authentic skiffle songs (drums).
So, join me know as I share with you my experiences of a musician that balances a "normal" job, playing live music, band manager, a family, life. All whilst remembering how to spell and write like a normal human. Oh, and hopefully I'll be witty, insightful and some other emotions.
